A 32-year-old man was involved in a trucking accident that caused him to suffer a tbi (traumatic brain injury). The driver of the tractor trailer accepted liability for the crash.

The illustrations enabled them to comprehend the extent of the injuries suffered by the plaintiff. Members of the focus groups also found the illustrations helpful in understanding the basis of some permanent effects of the injuries he sustained in the crash.
The focus groups were also shown video clips of the plaintiff and his wife. Members of the focus groups indicated that they found the individuals to be “strong, credible, and compelling witnesses.”
The plaintiff’s medical expenses for injuries sustained in this trucking accident to the time of mediation totaled $314,456. He reported lost wages of $54,432. A life care plan was prepared, with future care costs of $357,223.
Negotiations resulted in a $4,000,000 settlement to the plaintiff.
